Purple People Eater

My daughter had seen a couple other keepers with some different coloured helmets, and given her favourite colour is Purple was very interested in having one that matched her purple smock, so I started researching material and paint compatability and when the end of the season came along she eagerly presented her helmet for painting and selected metallic silver to highlight.

I actually thoroughly enjoyed the project, I did a few things while doing this one that provided a learning opportunity, I wouldnt say wrong necessarily, but things that could be done better to provide a cleaner or more durable finish, as a result at the time of posting, she’s currently considering her options for the next itteration of her helmet at the end of the 2024 season.
